Worried About the Global Financial Crisis?

I don’t know if i should be affected with the news that I’ve read on the internet about Americans, it floored me to know that nearly 15 million Americans are unemployed, what’s happening with the world’s powerful Nation? but i know this predicament is not only in America but it is all over the world.  As the Bible said the world is becoming worst as we’re approaching to the end of times. This should not surprised and worried me, but i do admit  it vexes me sometimes. If we hold on to God’s promises before, the more that we cling into His promises now knowing that in times like this we have a big God who is bigger than the universe. If He’d  blessed us, if He has been faithful to us even before this problem struck us, then remember that our God will never change. He is the same yesterday today and forevermore.

I’m not working right now, my husband is the only one earning, his salary isn’t that much, but we can still enjoy life, our Lord is providing and blessing us more than what we need. We can still save some money, it is because the Lord taught us to be a good steward of the resources He entrusted us. If there is one thing that I’ve learned from my six months of being married and staying in other country, that is being wise in handling finances.

The Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 15:32 “Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way” and if you read the rest you will know that Jesus Christ fed the Four Thousand beside women and children, he fed them with seven loaves and few small fish. If our Lord did that miracle when He was on earth how much more today what i mean is he can provide for our needs. That is the reason why we are calling Him King and Lord because it is the King’s responsibility to provide not only for food but all other needs  of  His people. And we are calling Him Father, a true father will never let His children go hungry.

Psalm 145:15-16 “The eyes of all look to you, and you give them their food at the proper time. You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing”

I’m a worrier before and if I’m not being watchful it sometimes blitzes me, worry cannot help us at all. In Matthew 6:32-34 the Lord gave us cure for that, “For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness  and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I am not sure, if the Lord worked when He was here on earth, He was a carpenter though. i don’t know if he used that skill to earn for living but one thing the bible said, He dine in with tax collectors, I’m sure tax collectors were rich during those times, although they were considered by Pharisees as sinners but who isn’t a sinner anyway, besides He came for the lost. Another thing is when He needed a place for the last supper, did he rent any place? did he pay for the room, the bible did not say that. What I am trying to point out is, the Lord focused on the  very purpose why He has called, he never worried about food and even the place where he stayed. His work wasn’t  to worry about His needs because He knew that the Father will provide for those things His work was to do the will of the Father. We will be free from financial stress and worry by living a life like our Lord when he was on earth. He trusted in the Father’s unfailing Love.
