Choosing Life

Life is Beautiful even When It Hurts

Thankful Thursday

I wrote this on my journal few weeks ago

Right now the Lord has quieted my soul, staying at home, made me closer to him, it seems like I’m so far from the cares of the world. I’m satisfied with how God meets our needs. We may not have everything we want but we never lack anything. I guess this is what we call abundant life, being satisfied with the life that God’s giving us because he never ceases to meet our needs and even sometimes our wants.  Every day He’s teaching us to know what are our needs and wants, this makes us really not to worry about what we eat, drink and wear. He teaches us to live one day at a time. He is indeed good and couldn’t thank Him enough. I guess this is what I’ve been wanting to experience, “Your “being real in my life. It’s no longer because, I heard others saying about Your faithfulness but because I myself experience it.

Few days after that, my sister informed me that my hometown was badly hit by the typhoon, it was one of the coastal towns which got the brunt and fury of the super typhoon Megi, houses of my family and relatives were collapsed and roofs were blown by the strong wind, properties and crops were damaged. I thank the Lord for protecting their lives. My town is still isolated up to this time, with no electricity and communication lines. I couldn’t reach my mother until now.

I thank the Lord for the peace I have right now. I did cry the first time I learned about it.  I prayed hard for my country and my family before the typhoon made its landfall in my province, though God didn’t answer my prayer the way I wanted to, I believe He has a purpose for everything.

Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will exult in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. The Lord GOD is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, And makes me walk on my high places. Habakkuk 3:17-19

Oh another thing, our host for this month  suggested that we  share 10 things you may not know about me, so here we go

1.) I don’t like any kind of pet( dogs, cat, etc) but i love animals.

2.) I am an introvert, I guess people who knew me don’t believe it, but I am.

3.) I had a car accident 8 years ago that almost killed me and my sister.

4.) Don’t give me flowers  on my birthday or on our anniversary because i couldn’t appreciate it, give me something that i can eat or use, but I love flowers. I guess I’m just practical.

5.) I love reading, books, and notebooks where i can use for  journaling.

6.) I love collecting pens.

7.) I love to stay in the bathroom, it’s the quietest place in the house.

8.)I hate roller coaster or any rides that makes me dizzy

9.)I am afraid of heights but I love climbing mountain.

10.) I love winter.
