My two daughters are definitely daddy’s girls, they love to play with their father. They would climb to the edge of the bed and jump into their daddy’s arms, I saw them fell because they jumped even if he wasn’t ready to catch them. I told them not to do it again because it’s dangerous. But they have this confidence in their father. Even if they fell and got hurt they completely forgot about it and do the jump again. They trust him every step of the way. They know that they will fall safely and securely in their father’s arms. This reminds me about child-like faith.
I need to remind myself everyday to have this faith. To trust The Lord ruthlessly, to radically depend on God. To let go of all control and trust that he’ll guide and even catch me.
Child-like faith is…..
Being at peace
Having sense of awe
Fearing God not because He is an angry God but because He is holy and just.
But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalms 56:3, 4 NLT)
