But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and satdown under a juniper tree ; and he requested for himself that he might die, and said, “It is enough ;now, O LORD, take my life, for I am not better than my fathers. 1 Kings 19:4
Elijah was afraid and wanted to die, maybe because Jezebel wanted to kill him or maybe because he felt like a failure or he was disappointed. He was tired and wanted to give up, but the Lord never gave up on him, He fed him through.
Oftentimes we experience what Elijah experienced. We’re disappointed especially when we thought that we failed. I just wondering if God included in his vocabulary the words failed or failures. I think whatever we considered failure in our part God never thought it as a failure but a room for us to grow and room to see His glory in our life. We sometimes feel afraid and want to give up but God never wants to give up on us, unless maybe when our mission on earth is done, but as long as His plan isn’t yet fulfilled he will not give up on us.
Just sharing my thought for today.
