Longing for Peace Lately

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
(Romans 15:13 NASB)

Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
(Romans 15:33 NASB)

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and The Lord Jesus Christ.
(1 Corinthians1:3 NASB)

While they were telling these things. He himself stood in their midst and said to them “Peace be to you”
(Luke 24:36 NASB)

These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
(John 16:33 NASB)

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.
(John 14:27 NASB)

Child-like Faith

imageMy two daughters are definitely daddy’s girls, they love to play with their father. They would climb to the edge of the bed and jump into their daddy’s arms, I saw them fell because they jumped even if he wasn’t ready to catch them. I told them not to do it again because it’s dangerous. But they have this confidence in their father. Even if they fell and got hurt they completely forgot about it and do the jump again. They trust him every step of the way. They know that they will fall safely and securely in their father’s arms. This reminds me about child-like faith.

I need to remind myself everyday to have this faith. To trust The Lord ruthlessly, to radically depend on God. To let go of all control and trust that he’ll guide and even catch me.

Child-like faith is…..

Being at peace
Having joy
Having sense of awe
Fearing God not because He is an angry God but because He is holy and just.

But when I am afraid, I will put my trust in you. I praise God for what he has promised. I trust in God, so why should I be afraid? What can mere mortals do to me? (Psalms 56:3, 4 NLT)

Here I am

Then I heard the Lord asking, “Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me.”

Isaiah 6:8

Father, I sometimes haven’t noticed that I am again trying to run my life, you know carrying my burdens without passing to you. Worrying too much where in fact there’s no need to worry at all. Planning on my own without even asking you. I sometimes force what I want and try to influence you in following me.

And yes by doing that I am struggling and losing my joy and peace. Ah, when can I learn? Why can’t i just accept that my life is better when I let you run it, that you know the way better and that i will reach my destination successfully and safely if I will you let you lead.

So again Lord, today I will let you take the lead. My life is yours, I am yours, do what you please and I hope I like what you choose or do for me but if ever i don’t, give me the willingness to accept it with joy, that your will may be done in my life.

Word Filled Wednesday – Enough

Sometimes we get weary, sometimes the weight of the world seems so heavy to carry. We feel weighted down, we feel confused, we feel discouraged, we feel hopeless. And we want to shout “ENNNNOUUGGGHHHH”.

Jesus said in John 16:33, I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart? I have overcome the world.

“What will we do when hopelessness attacks? Focus, focus on Jesus. Believe and keep faithful to His Word, to His promises. It’s time for us to turn away from our troubles and accept the peace that only Him can bring.”

“Lord, whatever I am going through right now, I offer that to you. I choose to focus unto you alone. I will not focus on my troubles but I will focus in You alone, knowing that you alone can bring real peace.”

Hungry For Peace?

I believe that it is God’s will for us to enjoy life. Jesus said that He came that we may have life and have it to the full. When I said “enjoy” that doesn’t mean that you can do everything you want. Enjoy means, being at peace in every circumstance you are into. We may have everything, we may be capable of doing anything we want but without peace our life would be miserable. John 14:27 said “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. “

Have you been yearning for peace in your life, why don’t you turn to the Prince of peace Jesus Christ and accept the peace that He’s offering, the peace which surpasses all understanding, following Him may also mean adjustment in your life, you may not be able to do everything that you’re doing before, it means surrendering your will to Him because you cannot truly experience real peace if God is pulling in one direction and you are pulling in another direction.

God is indeed guiding us but He leaves the choice to us. Are you really hungry for peace then make a decision now. He will not force you to do what He wants but He will let you choose

He’s just waiting for you, He wants to lead you to His indescribable and unfathomable peace.

Don’t let the Circumstances Around You Ruin your Day!

Take time to watch this video, my prayer is that, it will somehow encourage you. Indeed happiness is a choice, you may or may not allow the circumstances around you to ruin your day, steal your peace and joy or you may let God to move in your life through these challenges. Whatever trials you are facing right now. God wants you to know that He is in control of everything all He wants from you is to TRUST Him.

Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known to Me, your God. And My peace, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.
Philippians 4:6-7

Take no thought, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ Or ‘What will we drink?’ Or ‘With what will we be clothed?…. for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you
Matthew 6:31-33

Blessed is the one who trusts in You, Lord, and whose hope You are. For he will be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but her leaf will be green and will not be full of care in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
Jeremiah 17:7-8

The world is in crisis today. Everyone is affected, America and Israel are not exempted. I was thinking about these things few days ago, but God reminded me of what He said to Moises in Exodus 8:23, that He will make a distinction between His people and Pharoah’s people. I do admit sometimes i felt affected with what is happening, but God constantly reminding me of His word. Just like what He said in Romans 8:31b “if God is for me who can be against me.” World recession can not harm me. I won’t allow illness, financial woes to enjoy the life that God has given me.

What about you, are you facing challenges in life? Be reminded of His word “If God is for you who can be against you”

If there is someone who will not be affected with this crisis it must be the person who accepted Christ as His personal Lord and Saviour. Psalms 37:1-8 said ” Do not fret because of evildoers, or be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and withers as the green herb. Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and fed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass. He shall bring forth righteousness as the light and your justice as the noonday. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him, Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

The world maybe crumbling, but we have a God who will provide all our needs. The psalmist said I have been young and now am old yet i have never seen the righteous forsaken, nor his descendants begging bread.

In times like this, let’s look for our heavenly Father, because He is for us at this present moment, we can be confident that He will help us. Remember He sent His Son Jesus Christ and when we accepted Him, He gave us the right to have an abundant life. So we can be at peace and filled with joy even when the economy is going down.

Rest my friend in God’s love and faithfulness.
