I’ve read a story about a man named Eric, he is a world class adventurer. Eric had guided his blind friend to climb Mt. Everest. He mentioned that the trek was sobering and at times intimidating. They even see dead bodies along the way, even falling boulders threaten their lives. He also said “there are a lot of times where you’re forced to depend on God because there’s no other way, trust is an essential character trait for those who traverse the mountain, you need to trust, you need to have faith, you need to persevere and you need to have discipline and integrity. You can’t hide when you’re on the mountain. Your weaknesses and strengths are exposed.
Same is through with our lives, oftentimes we encounter mountains such as problems, pains, struggles, persecutions, sickness. We don’t know how to climb or solve these things, we don’t know if we will ever make it through. We encounter problems along the way that discourage and intimidate us, sicknesses that threaten our lives. Eric mentioned that trust is the essential character trait to those who traverse the mountain.
I can say that trust and faith is essential character trait to those who traverse the mountain
Have faith in God,” Jesus said in Mark 11:23 “Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into thesea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it will be granted him”.
In this life of uncertainties and no assurance, there is only one person who can be trusted, not your business not your insurance, not even your family. Only Him who is unmovable, unshakeable, and firm and that is Jesus, indeed we can’t hide when we are in the mountain. During those hard times that our weaknesses and strength are exposed, we became vulnerable and this is also God’s opportunity to display His glory in our lives. Place your faith in the One who can make you climb and overcome your mountain, put your faith in Jesus alone.
So whatever mountain you are facing right now, He has given you a dynamite power, you can blast any mountain that hinders you. Be well.
