Choosing Life

Life is Beautiful even When It Hurts

Welcoming the Promise of a New Season

I observed these flowers while walking this morning. I suppose winter will be over soon, and we will be expecting spring in this part of the world.

It just reminds me of the life we have. Life can be likened to the seasons: winter is when we have all sorts of pain, challenges, and difficulties; summer is the time to celebrate; spring promises new beginnings; autumn is the time of transition, a time of gratitude.

As the wise king once said “There is a season for everything”

SPRING….

It signifies more than just a change in weather; it’s a message of hope, a promise of new beginnings, and an invitation to embrace transformation.  It gives us possibilities—a chance for a fresh life, a renewed sense of purpose, and the prospect of a different path.

Spring could be your chance to rewrite your story, cast aside the weight of the past, and embark on a new adventure. It’s a call to reassess relationships, to bravely let go of what doesn’t serve you anymore. It could be a time to relocate to a new place, a change in a career, a rekindling of a love life, or perhaps a reinvention of yourself.

Spring may remind you to release the shackles of expectations that have held you back, urging you to stretch your wings and reach for your dreams and aspirations.

Moreover, spring might be telling you to live in the present, unburdened by the ghosts of yesterday, so that you may have a promising and brighter future.

And amid the blooming flowers, spring softly reassures you that there’s no harm in starting over, just press that re-set button, embrace change, and allow yourself the grace to start anew.

Just like a flower, winter may momentarily hide its beauty, but it’s spring that unveils it once more.

The winter season may compel you to retreat into your cocoon, tempting you to settle for the status quo. Yet, you possess an immense amount of strength, courage, and beauty within you. Now is the time to seize the season with unwavering confidence, determined courage, and an unrelenting desire to flourish and grow.

The book of Isaiah says, “They will spring up like grass in a meadow, like poplar trees by flowing streams.”  As winter nears its end; are you ready to embrace the promise of the new season?
